summertime fun

This summer has been a wild and amazing adventure that just hasn't stopped.

We've met with SO many families.  We've been loved on, cooked for, prayed for and encouraged.  We just can't thank each of you enough for taking time to get together with us before we leave!!!

Here's a pic of some sweet friends we got to spend time with...

A dear friend came in town from Indiana.  We laughed and laughed.  This girl makes me smile!!  We went to my favorite restaurant in Atlanta...

John and I celebrated our 15th anniversary (again at my favorite restaurant)...

The view from the fancy place we stayed in Buckhead...

Zach got to go to a camp at our church here in Atlanta.
He did archery as one of his electives and got a few bullseyes.

We've gone to the lakehouse and gone swimmin' and fishin'.
The big kids went tubing for the first time.

We've taken a couple trips.  (More on that later!)

We've had some great hangout time with my family doing fun stuff like getting frozen yogurt and continuing our fun adventures.

We found out that we're expecting baby #4!!
My brother said, "You guys are CRAZY!!"
Why, yes we are!  And we're lovin' every minute of it.

I'm SO excited that we signed a contract today to rent a house.  The only thing we could read on the contract was John's name.  But that's ok.  Refer to the last little section.  No, actually, we just have really great friends who are looking out for us.  I'll do a post soon and share some pics.  You're all going to want to move with us when you see this beauty!

Summer reading

I found an old favorite on mom and dad's book shelf, and I've been loving it all summer!

I've had this one for a while!

Merry-go-round at the mall...

Park time...

Cooking together...

Shopping for flowers at Pike and planting together...

"Mommy, take a picture of me with the giraffe."

Girl time gettin' our nails done...

Watching Z ride his bike while I work...

Friends, thanks for reading and being part of our amazing adventure!

can't stop laughing!

Jeff brought ear candles to Nana and Grampa's house.  You're supposed to light them, put them in your ear, and they're supposed to draw out the ear wax and clear out your ears.  You just never know what my brother is going to come up with!!  : )  I volunteered to do it, but I had NO IDEA the flame was going to be so...well, extreme!  When Jeff said my ear was smoking, I thought he was kidding, but come to find out he wasn't.

Jeff was so much braver than me!

Ahhhhhh...good times!

Happy Birthday to our BIG BOY!

Our Z man turned 8 on Friday!  It was such a wonderful day of celebrating our boy!
I can't believe it has been 8 years since this amazing, strong, brave, hilarious, creative, fun boy was born.  We just love to see God at work in his life!

We went on a little scavenger hunt hike with Uncle Jeff.  It was a BLAST!
Jeff brought some ice cream sandwiches.  He always brings fun and laughter!

Later that night Z had a bowling party with 3 of his best buddies in Atlanta.  John did this party with the boys all on his own.  He's a super hero!!  (But superheros can't supervise 4 eight-year-olds and take pictures!)

Last night we had a family celebration with Mimi and Papa, Uncle Jeff, and Nana and Grampa.  We went to Chuy's here in Atlanta.  It's our favorite Mex place from Waco, and they've opened one here in Atlanta!  After dinner we went over to Nana and Grampa's house for cake and family time.

While we were there, something HILARIOUS happened!  I can't wait to tell you about it tomorrow!
